LeiLani Dawn CPC, MA-P
LeiLani is a Care Navigator Trainer, Drug Use Health Advisor, and Emergency Department Peer Trainer for the University of Washington’s ADAI Center for Community-Engaged Drug Education, Epidemiology and Research (CEDEER). LeiLani is the Care Navigator trainer for State Opioid Response (SOR) sites across Washington State. She provides training and support to help those that work with people with substance use disorders. LeiLani is a certified peer support specialist and brings unique prospective to the work and support that she provides using her lived experience from polysubstance use. LeiLani is also a Drug Use Health Advisor for a National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA)-funded initiative to support people who have experienced an overdose and connect them to services, treatment, and medications for opioid use disorder (MOUD) Within this project she also co-facilitates the Lived Experience Advisory Board (LEAB) that has helped inform the model of care and bring collaboration between clinical design and lived experience to change how we provide services.
