Emmy Smith-Stewart BFA

Emmy Smith-Stewart has been a Research Coordinator at the Fetal Alcohol and Drug Unit (FADU) at the UW Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute since 2018. She has contributed to multiple research studies under FADU director Susan A. Stoner, PhD and previously under Therese M. Grant, PhD.

Prior to joining ADAI, Emmy worked for many years as an Outreach Worker at YouthCare’s Orion Center supporting unhoused young people. She became interested in research on Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) in adults after witnessing the lack of support and resources for unhoused young adults with FASD and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
