Domestic Violence among Pregnant Substance Abusers
In this study for DASA, researchers furnished pilot data documenting the extent of domestic violence as an issue in the treatment of pregnant and postpartum substance abusers. Women in residential and outpatient treatment programs were interviewed about domestic violence to provide descriptive information about the relationships between domestic violence and other variables related to treatment. The ultimate goal of the study was to aid in the development of more effective treatment strategies for pregnant and postpartum substance abusing women.
