Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention for Addictive Behaviors, Sept. 30, 12pm PT. Certificate of attendance provided!

Join the Northwest ATTC at ADAI and presenters Neharika Chawla, PhD, Joel Grow, PhD, and Erinn McGraw, BFA for our webinar next week (Sept. 30, 12-1pm PT) on Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention and an exciting new interactive online training for providers coming soon!

Mindfulness-based approaches to the treatment of addictive behavior invite greater awareness of triggers, cravings, habitual patterns, and automatic reactions. This cultivates the capacity to pause, observe present-moment experience with openness and curiosity, and respond with greater flexibility and choice.

This session will introduce participants to the core practices and exercises that illustrate the intentions and foundations of Mindfulness-Based Relapse Prevention (MBRP). Throughout the workshop, participants will explore how mindfulness can help clients relate differently to difficult thoughts, emotions, and urges, supporting recovery and reducing vulnerability to relapse.

The session will also introduce attendees to a new interactive online training about MBRP developed by the presenters for the Northwest ATTC.
