Maureen Oscadal MPH, BSN, RN-CARN
Maureen Oscadal is a Clinical Programs & Implementation Support Specialist at the University of Washington’s Center for Community-Engaged Drug Education, Epidemiology and Research (CEDEER) within the Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute (ADAI). She also serves as a Nurse Care Manager Trainer for ADAI’s Washington State Opioid Response (SOR) program, providing technical assistance and training to healthcare providers across the state on best practices for treating substance use disorders.
As a Certified Addictions Registered Nurse (CARN), Maureen previously worked as a Nurse Care Manager with Harborview Medical Center’s Office-Based Opioid Treatment (OBOT) program, where she supported individuals engaged in medication for opioid use disorder (MOUD) treatment and collaborated on system-wide efforts to increase access to MOUD. Prior to her work at Harborview, Maureen worked as a primary care nurse at Neighborcare Health’s Pike Market Clinic, and she has experience in harm reduction, including roles at Public Health – Seattle & King County and the Hepatitis Education Project.
Maureen holds an MPH from Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where her academic work focused on the social and behavioral aspects of substance use. Her global public health experience includes serving as a Malaria Technical Advisor in Zambia with the U.S. Peace Corps, where she supported community initiatives and collaborated with the Ministry of Health and non-governmental organizations to develop and monitor malaria prevention strategies.
At CEDEER, Maureen contributes to projects aimed at improving awareness, access to, and the quality of harm reduction, treatment, and healthcare for people who use drugs.
