Alcohol and Women’s Cognitive Mediation of HIV Risk Taking

This project experimentally investigated alcohol’s physiological and expectancy set effects in young women of drinking age, as well as the role of alcohol expectancies in 18-20 year old women, regarding their appraisals of HIV risk, condom negotiation, and sexual decision making.
