ADAI CERP & Northwest ATTC Co-Presenting a Webinar on Cannabis Hyperemesis Syndrome (March 19, 12pm PT)
02/14/2025
Join ADAI’s Cannabis Education & Research Program (CERP) and the Northwest ATTC on March 19 (12pm PT) for a webinar title Cannabinoid Hyperemesis Syndrome (CHS): Understanding an Emerging Public Health Challenge featuring renowned expert Ethan Russo, MD (founder/CEO of CReDO Science and a board-certified child and adult neurologist and psychopharmacologist).
In this session, Dr. Russo will provide an overview of cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome (CHS), a constellation of intractable vomiting, abdominal pain, and hot bathing behavior that solely occurs in the context of certain heavy chronic use of THC-predominant cannabis, including synthetic cannabinoids.
He’ll also discuss theories of its cause, including several that have been debunked, describe the serious nature of the condition (which causes considerable illness and even death), and talk about ways to provide symptomatic relief.
A certificate of attendance (which can be used to obtain CE credits from some credentialing bodies) will be available for all attendees of the live event.
