Stories of Recovery Video Series from Thriving Together and the ADAI CLEARS Project
03/11/2025
For those currently battling with addiction, hearing from someone who has walked the same path—and found hope on the other side—can be life-changing. Thriving Together in North Central Washington worked with partners in Chelan and Douglas County, as well as the ADAI Community-Law Enforcement Aligning in Response to Substance Use (CLEARS) project to create a powerful video series featuring real stories of recovery from substance use right here in North Central Washington.
The Stories of Recovery series is an important reminder for those who are struggling that they are not alone and that people do recover. The first two installments can be found below and the third will premiere later this month on the Thriving Together website.
Each video features someone from North Central Washington who previously struggled with substance use and has since found recovery. The series will be shown to incarcerated individuals in the Chelan County Jail struggling with addiction, offering hope, access to recovery coaching, and encouragement to seek help.
In addition to its use within correctional facilities, they will also be sharing the series with the public to reduce stigma and inspire open and honest conversations. They’re working on a media toolkit for partners who want to join us in these efforts. Stay tuned for more to come!
Thriving Together and CLEARS would love your help understanding the impact of the CLEARS video series – please take this short survey after watching. Your feedback will help the team continue these important conversations.
