The UW Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute (Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Sciences, UW School of Medicine) is currently seeking a Research Consultant at its Center for Community-Engaged Drug Education, Epidemiology & Research (CEDEER).
CEDEER joins research with the “real-world” to generate innovative, evidence-based, and person-centered responses to the use of opioids, stimulants, and other illicit substances.
This position will be involved with the WA State Community Drug Checking Network (CDCN), a project of CEDEER and a partnership of more than six organizations around WA State that provide community-level drug checking and related harm reduction services. The role requires an understanding of and experience in statistical analyses and database management. It also requires a general understanding of public health practice, epidemiology, health education, and harm reduction.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Epidemiology, Health Services, Public Policy, Social Work, or related field AND at least 2 years’ experience in a related area or equivalent with at least one year of experience with data management, analysis, visualization, and report/manuscript authoring OR equivalent education and experience.
