Implicit Cognition and HIV Risk Behavior in Drug Users
The goal of this project was to study the cognitive, situational, and behavioral antecedents of risky sexual behavior in drug users, using a theoretical framework that is well grounded in cognitive science. Four studies are proposed to examine how risky sexual behavior may be mediated by activation of concepts in memory, prompted by certain situations and antecedent behaviors (including drug use).
