Fentanyl & Methamphetamine: What's happening and what can we do?

Last month, community members gathered at Gonzaga University—and online—for a powerful conversation about the growing impact of fentanyl and methamphetamine in our region presented by the UW School of Medicine–Gonzaga University Health Partnership.

Dr. Caleb Banta-Green a highly regarded expert on substance use disorder, treatment, and harm reduction from the UW Addictions, Drug & Alcohol Institute (ADAI) and Dr. Amy Burns, a Spokane-based psychiatrist with expertise in addiction, shared critical insights into why people use these substances, how they’re affecting public health, and what families and communities can do to support recovery, health, and harm reduction.
