Pacific Northwest Addiction Technology Transfer Center (PNATTC)

Beginning on October 1, 2017, the University of Washington Alcohol & Drug Abuse Institute (ADAI), a multi-disciplinary research and education center, will serve as the new Addiction Technology Transfer Center for HHS Region 10, which includes Washington, Alaska, Idaho, and Oregon.

The new Pacific Northwest ATTC will provide training and technical assistance, systems consultation, and information dissemination for Region 10 treatment and healthcare organizations and their personnel -- all intended to increase awareness and implementation of empirically-supported treatment and recovery practices.

The PNATTC has three primary goals:

  1. Accelerating the adoption and implementation of evidence-based and promising substance use disorder treatment and recovery support services.

  2. Building and enhancing the awareness, knowledge, and skills of the workforce that address the needs of people with substance misuse, addiction, and co-occurring health disorders.

  3. Fostering regional and national alliances among culturally diverse practitioners, researchers, policy makers, funders, and the recovery community to support SAMHSA's workforce development and quality improvement goals and objectives.
